Anyone interested in fashion finds their place in crochet. Who is interested in decoration too. The person who likes to appreciate the cultural world will find space in crochet because it is something that is on the rise in our time.
Some time ago we talked about crochet and soon the pieces made by our mothers or grandmothers came to mind. Clothing for children or older people. These groups of people were the ones who benefited the most from the wealth of crochet.
Today we can see the richness and detail of amazing stitches being used by all people in society. Young people are delighted with this type of clothing, which has gone from being a mere craft to something full of style, becoming a worldwide trend. In a world where machines have taken care of practically the entire production, having a piece made by hand, with exclusivity and a lot of affection is something sensational and everyone wants it.
We can want everything from clothes to accessories and decorative utensils. Even affective and educational objects are made using crochet and knitting stitches.

The more we get involved in this wonderful world and the more we get to know points and that gives life to pieces..
This is the case of the Venezuelan point or cable point.
This stitch is crocheted braid, or 3 cross stitches, is knitted in 4 stitches. This foundation chain stitch is tricky to work with, so in a suggestion start with a foundation row with multiples of 4 stitches. That’s what I’ve observed in my research.

Discovering this stitch and looking for patterns I found this Paternoster Crochet Dish Towel Pattern which I thought was fabulous.

For this version we will see that the cables will all be angled in the same direction.

This pattern makes reference to Paternoster (South Africa) where the agitated nature rocks the waves of the sea and provides this beautiful effect. I’m delighted.
A new pattern has also emerged called the Twisted Neck Warmer (or Twistie as it became known) which is quick to work with and very popular.

Also, the name given to the dish towel, Paternoster, comes from the Latin for “The Lord’s Prayer”, or “Die Onse Vader”. A few trivia before our precious pattern!
